The Subtle Charm of Industrial Heritage – Interview with Architect Andrei Eugen Lakatos
Architect Andrei Eugen Lakatos’s passion for industrial buildings and spaces began with the choice of his doctoral thesis topic. Over time, it evolved into a specialized course and design studio at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, as well as into a book – “Conversion in Context: On the Regeneration of Industrial Spaces", recently published by the Arhitext Design Foundation Publishing House. We now invite you to an interview with the author, for an open discussion on the charm of industrial architecture, on “Western” and “Romanian” stages of building conversion, and on the perceptions, mindsets, and approaches to this delicate subject—particularly in Romania.
Interview for Arhitext magazine, published in Issue 03/2017 (June 2017)
